Everton goalkeeper Joao Virginia has completed a season-long loan move to Portuguese champions Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting Lisbon).
Virginia joined Everton from Arsenal in the summer of 2018 and made his First-Team debut in a Carabao Cup game against Salford City last September.
The 21-year-old, who spent time on loan with Championship team Reading in 2019/20, played his first Premier League football when he came off the bench in a Goodison Park meeting with Burnley in March this year.
In his first season with Everton, Portuguese Virginia was an instrumental figure in the Under-23s team that won a Premier League 2 and Premier League Cup double under manager David Unsworth.
