Hughes Leaves Everton

Everton can confirm Elise Hughes has left the Club upon the expiry of her contract.

The Academy graduate made her senior debut in February 2018 at the age of 16 when she faced Arsenal.

From there, the forward continued to develop with the Blues with a goal in a Merseyside derby in December 2018, capping off a breakthrough year for the Wales international.

Hughes signed her first professional contract with the Club in August 2019.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a short loan spell to Bristol City at the beginning of 2020 but it was cut short after she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury playing against Liverpool on 19 January.

Upon the her return from injury, Hughes was sent out on loan to Blackburn Rovers for the 2020/21 season where she scored six goals and provided three assists.

Everton thanks Elise for her commitment during her time with the Club and wishes her well for the future.
