Third Kit On Sale Now

Everton’s 2021/22 hummel third kit has today been revealed and is available for fans to buy in store and online now.

The white, navy and yellow offering - a reinterpretation of Everton’s pioneering away strip of the late 1950s - can be purchased from the Everton One and Everton Two stores or via evertondirect.com.

Everton’s men’s team will be the first side to wear the strip when they take on Mexican club Pumas in Florida on Wednesday evening.

As with the Club’s 2021/22 home and away kits, the strip features hummel’s cutting-edge ECO8 technology, meaning its environmentally friendly fabric is manufactured using eight recycled plastic bottles.

The third goalkeeper kit is comprised of a two-tone orange shirt, with orange shorts, orange socks and white detailing.

Ben Godfrey, who took part in the photoshoot to launch the new kit, said: “I’ve always enjoyed taking part in kit shoots because it’s all about that fresh start, that new season and getting ready to give your all again, for the team and the fans.

“I had so much support from the fans in my first season here and was gutted not to be able to play in front of more of them, especially at Goodison Park. I really like all three kits - I like how different they all are - and I definitely can’t wait to run out in them at stadiums packed full of Evertonians.

Academy graduate Tom Davies, who was another to pose in the new-look strip, added: “I’m a big fan of this kit.

“I’ve said before, I’d love to design a kit one day and I enjoy seeing the new kits each year - it takes you back to the excitement of being a kid.

“All three kits this year look really good so it will be great to see the fans back in Goodison, and at stadiums around the country, supporting us and wearing these colours.”

Everton’s change strip between 1958 and 1960 featured a thick horizontal blue line across its middle, with thinner amber bands on either side. Worn by the likes of Club Giants Dave Hickson, Bobby Collins and Brian Labone, the kit was the first to inject colour and design and begin to move away from the plain white shirt and dark shorts that had formed Everton’s away look since the early 1920s.

The recreation that Rafael Benitez’s side will wear in 2021/22 sees the stripe element flipped to run vertically down the front of the shirt, which also features the logo of the Club’s Principle Partner, Cazoo.

The patterns used on both the outfield and goalkeeper shirts also give a nod to Technical Partner hummel’s iconic chevrons and draw inspiration from the bow of a ship, continuing the nautical theme of the ‘Dazzle’ camouflage Everton home kit revealed earlier this month. The shorts and socks of the outfield shirt are ‘Royal Navy’ blue, with yellow detailing.

Allan Vad Nielsen, hummel’s CEO, said: “We are thrilled to be able to launch this season’s third kit and complete the set ready for the season’s big kick off on 14 August.

“As with the home and away kits, we wanted to produce something that would definitely mean something to Evertonians and lean on a small part of the Club’s storied past and give it a new significance in the present day.

“We also wanted to create a range of kits that were uniquely ‘Everton’, and that included coming up with three goalkeeper kits that were completely bespoke and that could stand-out in their own right.”

Danny Downs, UK General Manager for Fanatics, said: “Ever since our very first meeting with hummel, they have shown themselves to be innovative, creative and, most importantly, enthusiastic about producing kits that are unique to Everton and reflective of the Club and its fans."

“They care about style but also about what Evertonians want to see from the Club’s kits and, for us, this completes a 2021/22 range that is original, stylish and contemporary – but still manages to reflect and pay homage to the past in delivering that. With the third kit, I can see a nod to hummel kits of the past in there as well. I think it’s great, and I hope fans will too.”

Following supporter feedback, an XXL youth size has been introduced across all three Everton kits for 2021/22, while the crests are woven with an embroidered finish.

All three 2021/22 hummel kits are available to buy now online at evertondirect.com and are also on sale in store at Everton One and Everton Two.
