The Times is reporting Everton are close to concluding a deal to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Demarai Gray.

It is believed that the Englishman has an exit clause in the region of £1.5million, having moved to Germany in January.

However, a deal for the 25-year-old does not seem imminent according to the Liverpool Echo.

The same publication claims that Asmir Begovic and Andros Townsend are "likely" to join the Club but an agreement with either player is yet to be fully completed.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper spent the past four years with Bournemouth and enjoyed loan spells at Qarabağ and AC Milan in that time.

Meanwhile, Townsend made 36 appearances for Crystal Palace last season, scoring once and assisting five goals.

The Athletic writes the Blues are interested in signing Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot.

According to its article, the Portuguese player was on the Club's shortlist last summer, but no formal bid was made.

The 22-year-old impressed during his loan spell with AC Milan last season, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the Italian side wish to re-sign him on loan for another season.
