Everton's 2021/22 hummel Home Kit Now On Sale

Everton's new hummel home kit for 2021/22 is now available to purchase online and in store at Everton One and Everton Two.

The dazzle-camouflage inspired strip, which features a two-tone patterned blue shirt, white shorts with royal blue and yellow detailing, and white socks, can be ordered online at evertondirect.com.

The kit can also be bought in store at Everton One (Monday-Saturday 9.30am-5.30pm and Sunday 11am-4pm) and Everton Two (Monday-Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 11am-5pm).

For 2021/22, a replica of the kit worn by Everton Women can also be purchased alongside the men’s version – a Club first.

Evertonians from around the world have played a leading role in the kit’s launch video by lending their creative talents to imitating the shirt’s striking pattern and submitting user generated footage of their creations coming to life.

The video follows the unique dazzle pattern being recreated as a stunning piece of sand art at Bellarine Peninsular in Victoria, Australia, and incorporated into an eye-catching hairstyle at a barber studio in Ireland, as well as showcasing the artistic abilities of a Chinese nail artist, Malaysian carpenter, Greek graphic designer and US-based baker.

Players from Everton's men's and women's first teams, including Seamus Coleman, James Rodriguez, Richarlison, Izzy Christiansen and Danielle Turner, also feature in the video, modelling the strip at Goodison Park.

The use of the dazzle pattern is inspired by the role of the city of Liverpool and its docks in painting naval ships with the inventive and bold livery during the First World War. The brainchild of a British marine artist, the use of contrasting shapes, tones and colours proved highly effective at disguising a vessel's size, speed, distance and direction, confusing the enemy at sea.

To this day, the practice is celebrated in Liverpool through a working Mersey ferry ‘Everybody Razzle Dazzle’, painted to commemorate the dazzle ships in 2014 as part of the city’s First World War centenary activities.

As with the 2021/22 away kit, launched in May, this season's home kit will be environmentally friendly in line with the Club's ‘Everton For Change’ initiative and feature hummel's ECO8 technology. New for this campaign, the implementation of ECO8 means each shirt is manufactured from high-performing polyester produced from up to eight recycled plastic bottles.

Alan McTavish, Commercial Director at Everton, said: "On the back of last season's home shirt becoming the fastest-selling in the Club’s history, we are excited to launch our 2021/22 strip and hope it will once again prove popular with Evertonians all across the world.

“hummel’s creative process of how to take something like dazzle, which forms an interesting part of our city’s history, and weave it into our kits has been really interesting to see. They have also once again shown their commitment to our fans by going to great lengths to involve them in the launch of this kit to illustrate the Club's popularity and how it touches people in all four corners of the globe.”

As well as the integrated dazzle pattern, Everton's 2021/22 home kit features a yellow and white trim on both the sleeves and its collar, which is rounded. hummel’s iconic chevrons also appear in white on the shirt and royal blue on the shorts and socks.

Mesh panelling under the arms and down the sides works alongside vents at the bottom of the shirt to ensure breathability and enable high-level performance, while the polyester created using hummel’s ECO8 technology gives the kit a rich, silk-like feel.

Everton's home goalkeeper strip for 2021/22 also takes inspiration from dazzle, with a shirt comprising black, blue and yellow stripes, black shorts and black socks.

Allan Vad Nielsen, hummel’s CEO, said: "When it came to creating our latest home kit for Everton, we wanted to deliver something that was striking and different but still respectful of the Club's traditions.

“We have drawn on the city of Liverpool's links with the dazzle pattern to do that, giving it a historical nod, but also put fans at the centre of our launch in celebration of Everton's ever-growing global popularity and exciting future ahead.”

Danny Downs, UK General Manager for Fanatics, said: "Once again hummel have produced a design that looks great and is based around an important part of this great city’s history. The way that hummel work closely with the Club to produce kits that resonate with Everton fans is a credit to the team that work on the design. Last season Everton fans from across the world came out in force to show their support with record numbers buying the new hummel First-Team kit and I hope that they love this new design just as much."

A XXL youth kit has been introduced for 2021/22 following feedback from supporters, while the crests on all three 2021/22 shirts are woven with an embroidered finish.

The Club’s Principal Partner, Cazoo, once again features on the front of both adult and junior shirts. Megafon will appear on the Women’s version of the home shirt, with Yota again the sleeve partner.

Everton Women midfielder Christiansen said: “I think it’s a fantastic kit – it’s eye-catching, bright and vibrant but also very clearly Everton. I think it’s brilliant that the women’s version of the kits are going to be available for the first time and, once again, it illustrates the commitment from the Club, hummel and Fanatics to the Women’s team, and also our female supporters. That it’s environmentally friendly is also a credit to everyone involved in creating this kit and I can’t wait to see Walton Hall Park packed out with fans wearing it this season.”

Everton defender Michael Keane, who took part in the photoshoot for the new kit, added: “We’re all looking forward to having our incredible fans back at Goodison Park supporting us this season and getting to see and wear the new kit only adds to the excitement that’s already building for that first game against Southampton.

“I really liked what hummel did with all three kits last season and I think this year’s have taken that on and are even better. The kit looks and feels great when you’re wearing it and I’m sure it’s going to be really popular with the fans.”

Everton’s 2021/22 third kit will be unveiled later this summer.
