The Liverpool Echo continues to link Rafa Benitez as the running candidate to become the new manager of Everton.

The publication claims the Club's Board hoped to have concluded their managerial search at the beginning of this week but talks have continued.

Brighton boss Graham Potter is still in the running for the Everton job according to the Daily Mail

Although Benitez remains the favourite for the job, Potter could make a late charge and win the job, their source claims.

Turkish website Fanatik links Everton as one of three teams in the race for Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

The 23-year-old kept 12 clean sheets in 35 appearances last season.

The rumoured asking price is in the region of £17million with the Blues ready to compete with Sevilla and Ajax for his signature.

James Rodríguez has been linked with a move away this summer.

Spanish journalist Pipe Sierra reports that the Colombian's agent Jorge Mendes has offered the player to several clubs including Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and Napoli.

The rumoured asking price is €10million to €20million.

Sky Italia and Calciomercato support this report as both outlets link the forward with AC Milan, with the latter publication writing that 22-year-old forward Rafael Leão could go the opposite way.

Mendes - who is the agent for both players - is said to be pushing this idea to bring the striker to Goodison Park.
