WATCH: Marouane Fellaini Exclusive - Part One

Everton produced a rabbit from the hat when Marouane Fellaini joined from Standard Liege with time fast running out on the summer 2008 transfer window.

The talented and combative Belgian was immediately introduced to Everton's midfield and progressively matured into a talismanic figure for the Club.

Fellaini, underrated by many outside the confines of Goodison Park before a transfer to Manchester United in 2013, scored 33 goals in 177 Everton appearances.

In an exclusive two-part interview with evertonfc.com, Fellaini talks in detail about his Everton career and feelings for the Club today.

The 33-year-old, currently with Shandong Taishan in China, reveals all about his Club-record transfer and reasons for leaving five years later.

There are countless on and off-field memories, a beaming simile when that pirouette is mentioned, and an assertion that the most swashbuckling Everton teams of Fellaini's five years at Goodison were separated from glory by only one thing.

We learn, too, why Fellaini's switch to Everton was, perhaps, longer in the planning than legend has it and the player's reaction when switched to centre-forward in his first season.
