Everton Under-23s will play five pre-season matches in July and August after adding a trio of fixtures to already announced meetings with the non-league pair of Guiseley and Chorley.

David Unsworth’s team are set to begin preparations for the new campaign with a home game against their Stoke City counterparts on Tuesday 13 July.

They visit Bradford Park Avenue eight days later, on Wednesday 21 July, and go to Southport on Saturday 7 August.

The match against Stoke will take place at Everton’s USM Finch Farm training base and kick off at 1pm.

Manager Unsworth’s side then tackle four clubs from National League North, starting with a trip to Guiseley’s Nethermoor Park for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday 17 July.

Everton’s match at Bradford the following midweek gets under way at 7pm, with a visit to Chorley’s Victory Park next up, on Tuesday 3 August and kicking off at 7.30pm.

Southport host Everton, fifth in last season’s Premier League 2, at 3pm on the first Saturday in August.
