Speaking to Sky Sports News, former Lille Sporting Director, Luis Campos says Christophe Galtier would be the perfect fit for the vacant Everton job.

Galtier guided Lille to their first Ligue 1 title in a decade last season before departing the club this summer.

Campos worked with the 54-year-old manager and claims his team's style of play would be a huge success in the Premier League and for the Blues.

"Christophe has all the qualities to coach in England, technically he is very astute and is extremely detailed in his planning when preparing a team," Campos told the network.

"He likes a 4-4-2 system, which would fit with the Premier League, and he is a fantastic motivator in the dressing room.

"He likes to build a side with quality and youth, he is someone who can develop a team ethic, and he is also a fantastic human being."

According to French outlet, Be Foot, the Club are ahead of Nice in talks to make Galtier their new manager.

The outlet claims Everton have tabled an impressive contract offer and are in contact with Galtier's representatives.

The Daily Mail reports that Crystal Palace have ended their pursuit of Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager.

The ex-Wolves boss has been rumoured to be one of the candidates in the running for the Everton position.

Dutch publication De Telegraaf writes that Everton will make a move for PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries before the European Championship commences.

The paper claims that the "time seems ripe" to make a move for the Netherlands international to avoid increased competition for the player's signature.
