Everton Under-23s turned in a performance to match their Premier League surroundings at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium on Sunday.
Nathan Broadhead opened the scoring on two minutes, an 11th goal in as many games for the striker, before a quartet of teenagers took over.
The 17-year-old pair of Charlie Whitaker and Stanley Mills struck before the break and after half-time it was the turn of 18-year-olds Sean McAllister and Tom Cannon to get on the scoresheet.
Everton were resolute at the back, goalkeeper Harry Tyrer and a defence expertly marshalled by the central duo of Joe Anderson and Con Ouzounidis (pictured) shutting out the hosts.
