The Daily Mail and Daily Express claim Everton could be lining up a bid for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

The highly-rated England Under-21 international is rumoured to be valued at around £30million.

The papers report the Blues have also been offered the opportunity to sign Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier.

The Liverpool Echo suggests Everton are one of four clubs interested in bringing Cameroon international Moumi Ngamaleu to the Premier League.

The 26-year-old winger currently plays for Swiss side Young Boys.

Leicester City, Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion are the other English top-flight sides said to be tracking Ngamaleu’s progress.

The Echo also features former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, who has described Carlo Ancelotti as a “top-class man and top-class manager”.

Eriksson was Ancelotti's manager at AS Roma in the mid-1980s where he made him captain.

In an interview originally given to the Official Everton Podcast, the Swede added: “If I was owner of a club, I would hire Ancelotti. Because that brings stability. He will be very loyal to the club and players.”

Staying with the Echo, and the local read carries quotes from Everton Under-23s boss David Unsworth, who has revealed his confidence 18-year-old midfielder Tyler Onyango will “come back stronger” after undergoing ankle surgery.

Onyango sustained a significant ankle fracture and ligament injury in Everton Under-18s’ 1-0 FA Youth Cup victory over Manchester City earlier this month

“We're just glad the operation went well,” Unsworth said. “He's fine, in good form, and we miss him dearly, but he'll come back stronger."
