Ahead of Saturday's game, you can learn more about Everton Under-23s ace Kyle John, as the right-back answers a mixed bag of fans' questions...

Best player you’ve played against?

It has to be James in training – 100 per cent. I remember watching him as a kid when he was in the World Cup, so to now be training with him is unbelievable. He just drifts across the pitch. And nothing fazes him when he’s got the ball. He’s special.

Last TV show you watched?

The US Office. It’s really funny! I’ve actually seen all the episodes before, but I’m re-watching it now.

Favourite musician?

Lil Tjay. I love rap music and he’s my favourite artist at the moment.

Best present received?

Probably getting the new Xbox when I was about 13. My mum hid it from me initially! When I eventually saw it, I was buzzing!

Best moment of your career?

There are two that stand out. Signing my first professional contract and playing at Goodison for the first time.

What motivates you?

My daughter. Ever since I had her, that was the thing that drove me. They say when you have kids it changes you – and it changes you for the better. I have even more determination to be a success for her. I feel I can run further and faster! I just want to give her the best I can give.

Best banter in the Under-23s squad?

Probably Joe Anderson or Con [Ouzounidis]. They’re both very funny and help to keep the spirits up.

Favourite food?

I love Italian food. I think I could live off it!

Football hero?

Cristiano Ronaldo. I loved watching him when I was growing up. What an amazing player.

Initiation song?

It was Ne-Yo, but I can’t remember the name of the song! I was so nervous before it!

Best thing about being at Everton?

I love being around the people I’ve grown up with at the Club every day. Everyone always wants the best for each other. And getting to play for Everton is special in its own right. It’s like home here.
