Everton Boss Gives Team News Update

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Everton top goalscorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit to return for the Blues in Friday night's clash at Arsenal (8pm BST).

Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph and Bernard are also in contention for the game at Emirates Stadium.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (foot) and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin (knee) are Everton’s only absentees.

Calvert-Lewin has missed Everton’s past two matches with an abductor problem, while Mina was unable to feature in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur last time out after sustaining a similar injury. A hamstring niggle, meanwhile, meant Gomes was forced to sit out the Blues' games against Brighton & Hove Albion and Spurs.

Delph and Bernard have returned to full training after longer-term layoffs – and Ancelotti believes the increased strength of his squad means Everton are well placed to deliver a strong finish to the season.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, he said: “We have a lot of players available – almost all the squad, apart from Doucoure and Gbamin who are out.

“The others are in good condition.

“We are ready to fight for this final part of the season.

“The squad is now much, much better and I have a lot of options, so I am pleased and confident.”
