Ancelotti Names Everton Starting XI For Brighton Clash

Ben Godfrey and Gylfi Sigurdsson return to Everton’s starting line-up as manager Carlo Ancelotti makes two changes for Monday’s Premier League visit to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 17-year-old pair of Isaac Price and Reece Welch are included in a senior squad for the first time.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin misses out with an abductor problem sustained in Everton's final training session before the game.

Manager Ancelotti is confident Calvert-Lewin and fellow absentees Allan and Andre Gomes will be ready to face Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.

Robin Olsen continues in goal and there are starts in the wing-back positions for Lucas Digne and captain Seamus Coleman.

Yerry Mina, Michael Keane and Mason Holgate all retain their places following the draw with Crystal Palace seven days ago.

Godfrey is back after sitting out the majority of that match and will begin his 21st Premier League game for the Club following a move from Norwich City six months ago.

Sigurdsson replaced the hamstrung Gomes in the opening half against Palace and starts here.

Tom Davies features in midfield and the South American duo of James Rodriguez and Richarlison are in the starting XI.

Defender Welch and Price, a central midfielder, are joined on the bench by Alex Iwobi and Niels Nkounkou.

Manager Ancelotti’s eight-strong substitutes' list is completed by Kyle John, Nathan Broadhead and the goalkeeping twosome of Joao Virginia and Harry Tyrer.
