James Rodriguez scored on his return to Everton action but the Blues were held by Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Easter Monday. 

The Colombian superstar's precision finish 11 minutes after the half-time interval put Everton in front – his strike just reward for the Blues' enterprising attacking play.

Everton had opportunities to extend their advantage but were hit with a sucker punch five minutes from time when Michy Batshuayi drilled a shot into the bottom corner.
