Under-23s Midfielder To Undergo Knee Surgery

Everton Under-23 midfielder Einar Iversen is to undergo surgery after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury.

The Norwegian Under-21 international limped off in the 25th minute of the 1-1 Premier League 2 draw against Arsenal at Southport last Sunday and was replaced by Matthew Mallon.

Iversen will see a consultant in the next few days for repair surgery.

The 19-year-old has been a regular in David Unsworth’s team this season, scoring two goals.
