WATCH: Coleman Surprises Evertonian Nurse After Her COVID Sacrifice

When Judith Burgess logged on for her weekly family Zoom call, the lifelong Evertonian was stunned to be joined by a new guest - her favourite Blues player Seamus Coleman!

The Everton captain surprised the long-serving NHS nurse after the sacrifice she made to help colleagues and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Having worked in and around Liverpool for 39 years, Judith was supposed to retire in March last year - and even had her retirement party booked. But following the outbreak of coronavirus, the mother-of-three made the brave decision to work for another year to remain on the frontline and help those in need.

In a year which saw Judith, her husband and daughter all contracting COVID-19, she will now finally retire this week.

And to say thank you, Coleman joined the Season Ticket Member on a Zoom call with her family of Blues where Everton's derby win, Carlo Ancelotti and Judith's extra incentive for Everton success were some of the topics discussed!
