Ancelotti Names Everton Team For City Quarter-Final

Joao Virginia will make only his second senior Everton start and Yerry Mina returns from a four-week layoff, as manager Carlo Ancelotti makes four changes for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Manchester City.

Seamus Coleman and Gylfi Sigurdsson play from the beginning after overcoming their respective injury issues.

Virginia in goal came on for Jordan Pickford in last week’s Premier League meeting with Burnley and adds to his start against Salford City in the Carabao Cup back in September.

Captain Coleman, Mina, Mason Holgate, Ben Godfrey and Lucas Digne line up in front of the 21-year-old Portuguese.

Sigurdsson is joined in midfield by Allan and Andre Gomes, while Richarlison, a scorer in the league fixture between the teams last month, partners 19-goal Dominic Calvert-Lewin in attack.

Alex Iwobi, Tom Davies and Michael Keane are all named among Everton’s substitutes.

They are joined on the bench by the young goalkeeping pair of Harry Tyrer and Zan-Luk Leban, Niels Nkounkou, Nathan Broadhead, Tyler Onyango and Kyle John.
