Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Allan are fit and available for Saturday’s Merseyside derby clash at Anfield (5.30pm GMT).
Striker Calvert-Lewin – the Blues’ top scorer this season with 18 goals in all competitions – has missed Everton’s past two matches with a hamstring injury.
All-action midfielder Allan, meanwhile, could make his first Everton appearance since sustaining a hamstring injury in the Blues’ 2-0 win at Leicester City on 16 December.
Yerry Mina will not be available for the Liverpool match, however, after suffering a calf problem against Manchester City on Wednesday. Ancelotti confirmed the Colombian defender would be out for between three to four weeks.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is continuing his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury.
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Allan are back," said Ancelotti, who was speaking at his pre-match press conference at USM Finch Farm.
"For the fact we have a lot of games in this period, it is important to have all the squad available. We are close to having all the players fit.
“This is important. We can rotate a little bit and keep the squad more fresh.
“Allan was out for two months. To have him back is really important for us."
Asked if Allan and Calvert-Lewin will be in condition to play from the start at Anfield, Ancelotti added: “All the players available can start the game.
“If the players were not able to start, they would not be available [for selection in the squad].”
