Injury Updates On Calvert-Lewin, James, Allan And Pickford

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jordan Pickford will not be available for Sunday's Premier League visit of Fulham to Goodison - but expects the England duo to be fit for the match at home to Manchester City on Wednesday.

The Blues boss also confirmed James Rodriguez and Andre Gomes will be in contention to take on the Cottagers, while Allan (hamstring) should be able to feature from next week.

Calvert-Lewin picked up a hamstring problem late on during Wednesday night's 5-4 FA Cup win over Spurs and Pickford has missed the past three matches with an abdominal injury.

James sat out the Cup win in midweek with a minor calf strain but will be back for the Blues this weekend. Meanwhile, Joshua King is available for selection having been cup-tied against Spurs.

Ancelotti also revealed he hoped Jean-Philippe Gbamin will be able to train with the First-Team in the next 10 days as he continues his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury, with a view to play again in one month.

"Both [Calvert-Lewin and Pickford] will not be available for the game on Sunday. We are looking for the next game on Wednesday where we think both of them will be available," said the Blues boss.

"We have back Andre Gomes, James, Josh King, and in the next week we think Allan will be back so the squad is ready for the next games.

"James is fine. He trained yesterday and today and is available for the game on Sunday. No problem."

On Calvert-Lewin, Ancelotti added: "[Against Spurs] he only had the feeling that something wasn't good so he stopped. He only has a little problem. He can play on Wednesday."
