Manager Ancelotti Names Everton Team For Leicester Clash

Lucas Digne returns to Everton’s team as captain, as manager Carlo Ancelotti makes four changes from Sunday’s FA Cup victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Michael Keane is restored to the middle of defence, while there are recalls for midfielder Tom Davies and Jordan Pickford in goal.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin continues up front following his goalscoring comeback at the weekend.

Striker Calvert-Lewin could potentially be supported by either Richarlison or James Rodriguez, beginning his fourth successive match.

Digne looks poised play on the left of midfield where he excelled in Everton’s victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers a fortnight ago.

The central midfield spots are occupied by Tom Davies and Andre Gomes.

"It is sad we don’t have the two players [suspended Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan, who is injured], of course, but everyone is here to help and give their best," said Gomes.

"I am one more player to help the team and was happy with my last performance [against Sheffield Wednesday].

"Our recent results give us confidence and we need that to keep performing and winning games.

"Right now we are really happy with where we are and want to keep this momentum."

Keane partners Yerry Mina in the middle of defence and Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey start as full-backs.

Pickford plays his 16th Premier League match of the campaign.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi, Bernard and Anthony Gordon provide attacking options from the bench.

Goalkeeping pair Robin Olsen and Jonas Lossl are also included among Everton’s substitutes, along with Seamus Coleman, Jonjoe Kenny and 17-year-old Tyler Onyango, fresh from his senior debut three days ago.
