Everton To Host Spurs In FA Cup Last 16

Everton will host Tottenham Hotspur in the fifth round of the Emirates FA Cup after Jose Mourinho's side left it late to see off Wycombe Wanderers and set up the Goodison Park tie.

The last-16 fixture will be played week commencing 8 February.

Everton eased through round four with a comfortable 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday night, thanks to goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Yerry Mina.

That victory set up a home fifth-round contest against the winners of Monday's meeting between Spurs and Championship Wycombe at Adams Park.

And it was Wycombe who struck first when midfielder Fred Onyedinma steered his side into a 25th-minute lead.

Gareth Bale levelled things up just before the break but it took until four minutes from time for Harry Winks to put Spurs ahead.

Tanguy Ndombele then struck twice in the final three minutes for the visitors.

Earlier this season, Calvert-Lewin struck the only goal as Carlo Ancelotti's Blues opened their 2020/21 Premier League campaign with victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

A confirmed date and kick-off time for the FA Cup fifth-round clash will be confirmed on evertonfc.com in due course.
