Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Dominic Calvert-Lewin will miss Tuesday night’s Premier League clash at Wolverhampton Wanderers (8.15pm kick-off GMT) with a hamstring injury.

Fellow attacker Richarlison faces a late fitness test for the Blues, while Jordan Pickford is available after sitting out Saturday’s 2-1 FA Cup third-round win against Rotherham United.

Ancelotti said he expects Calvert-Lewin to be fit to return “soon”.

He added midfielder Allan, who is continuing his recovery from hamstring injury, should be ready to make his First-Team comeback “in 10-15 days”.

Fabian Delph (hamstring) and Jean-Phillippe Gbamin (Achilles) remain sidelined.

“Jordan Pickford is okay," said Ancelotti, who was speaking at his pre-match press conference at USM Finch Farm.

"For Richarlison, we have to wait until after training today [Monday] to make a decision.

“Calvert-Lewin is not available because he has a hamstring problem. I think he can recover soon.

“He had a little problem during the week before the West Ham game [on 1 January] but, because of the fact he has not had this type of injury before, he was not able to judge his fitness with 100 per cent [accuracy]. 

“He played all the game against West Ham, which means this is not a really important injury. But we want to keep him safe and, when he comes back, to be 100 per cent fit. 

“For Allan, I think he will be able to return in around 10 to 15 days."
