Be Part Of Big Match Build-Up And Support Everton in the Community

Everton take on Manchester United in the last eight of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night - and we will be bringing you extended build-up of the big clash to help raise vital funds for Everton in the Community.

Our pre-match show Everton Live will go on air earlier than usual at 6.15pm (GMT) and will be joined in the studio by Blues Academy graduate James Vaughan!

Throughout the show, we will celebrate the togetherness of the Everton Family in what has been a difficult and challenging year. There will be a chance for fans to donate to our Blue Family campaign – supporting those in our community most in need as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

You can donate on Facebook, text a £5 donation by texting EITC to 70970 or visit evertonfc.com/bluefamily

Donations will go towards supporting vulnerable and at-risk families and individuals across Liverpool.

As well as the extended Everton Live, matchday will also celebrate Everton in the Community's Stand Together programme.

The initiative aims to tackle social isolation and loneliness among people aged 70+ on Merseyside and, before kick-off, the names of Stand Together participants will be featured on the back of players' walk-out jackets as they step out on to the Goodison turf.

Fans should also keep an eye out for a matchday mascot with a difference...

Everton Live is our new matchday show for 2020/21 and brings fans all the latest Blues news, the best pre-match build-up, and takes you inside Goodison Park for the final hour before kick off.

Guests so far this season have included Kevin Campbell, Alan Stubbs, Kevin Ratcliffe, Kevin Sheedy and former boxing world champion Tony Bellew, with Vaughan - still the Premier League's youngest ever goalscorer - set to make his debut for Wednesday's mammoth clash.

Presented by Sarah Halpin, the Everton Live Christmas Special will recap the best of the Club's Blue Crimbo campaign and feature special festive messages and musical entertainment, as well as ramping up the excitement ahead of the 8pm showdown!

Everton Live presenter Sarah Halpin.

As ever, we'll have team news from an hour before kick off, interviews with manager Carlo Ancelotti and his players, classic highlights, our 'Supporters' Club of the Match' and footage of what's going on inside Goodison.

And it's interactive, too. If you've got a festive message for a friend or family member, a question for our guest, a score prediction or just a point you want to make about the Blues, let us know using the hashtag #EvertonLive and your comment could be read out live on air.

So don't forget to join Sarah and James Vaughan for all the pre-match news and chat by logging on to evertonfc.com or visiting Everton's official Twitter or Facebook pages from the earlier time of 6.15pm (GMT) on Wednesday.
