During an insightful conversation at USM Finch Farm, Ancelotti told Everton great Steven of his ambition to emulate “legend” Howard Kendall by bringing silverware to Goodison Park – and gave his verdict on Howard’s Way, the film which chronicles the Blues' emergence as Europe’s pre-eminent football team.
Former midfielder Steven was a member of Everton’s most successful side, the Kendall-led mid-1980s force which claimed two league titles, one FA Cup and a European Cup Winners’ Cup.
Steven was inducted as an Everton Giant in 2010 in recognition of 60 goals in 299 appearances during six years after joining from Burnley in 1983.

The two men recall coming face to face on the field 30 years ago and Ancelotti talks about his first step across the divide separating players and managers.
All proceeds from sales of Howard’s Way are being invested in the Club’s People’s Place project, a universally accessible facility for mental health support close to Goodison.
