WATCH: Captain Coleman And Everton Legend Steven In Conversation

Everton great Trevor Steven and current captain Seamus Coleman met at USM Finch Farm to swap tales of their Goodison Park careers.

The exceptional Steven won four major honours with Everton during six years when he scored 60 goals in 299 appearances.

His mid-1980s Everton team, twice league champions and FA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup winners, is celebrated in the evocative film Howard’s Way.

Former England winger Steven and Coleman shared their experiences of playing in front of passionate Evertonians and the Irishman explained why Carlo Ancelotti’s appointment as boss stirred renewed ambition among the Club’s global fanbase.

Watch above or here to see Coleman explain why Ancelotti is different from any manager he’s encountered and relive a tackle on his home debut which ignited the Goodison public.

The pair underline the importance of Everton’s mental health facility, The People’s Place, with all proceeds from sales of Howard’s Way invested in the project.

"Any Evertonian should watch Howard's Way,” Coleman, who has played 326 games since joining in January 2009, told Steven.

“It really hit home for me how big the football club is, and how amazing Howard Kendall and you players were.”
