Give A Blue The Gift Of Being Etched Into Everton Legacy

Are you still searching for the perfect Christmas present for the Evertonian in your life?

With less than a month to go until the big day, Everton in the Community has released a second phase of its Spellow Brick Lane engraved bricks, giving fans, charity supporters and members of the public the opportunity to be etched into the legacy of its purpose-built mental health facility by purchasing a limited-edition personalised blue brick that will be laid in the commemorative pathway leading up to The People’s Place.

The first phase of Spellow Brick Lane went on sale earlier in the year and sold out quickly due to popular demand. Thanks to a high level of interest, the charity has been able to increase the space allocated for the engraved bricks meaning that more Blues can become a permanent part of the legacy of the purpose-built mental health facility.

Set within landscaped gardens, Spellow Brick Lane will form an attractive commemorative block paved pathway from The People’s Hub on Spellow Lane to the front door of The People’s Place and will provide tailored support to promote positive mental health and deliver support relating to suicide awareness and prevention.

The building will provide a space for people to access a broad range of activities including exercise, arts and culture that are shown to improve our mental health as well as being able to connect with other like-minded individuals who may have experienced similar challenges such as ex-forces personnel, men becoming new parents or children bereaved by a parent’s suicide.

Everton in the Community secured planning permission for The People’s Place from  Liverpool City Council in the spring and hopes to begin work on the Spellow Lane site in early 2020 to bring the much-needed facility to the local community as soon as possible.

The need for The People’s Place is greater now than ever before as the coronavirus pandemic has amplified many of the associated risk factors for poor mental health and suicide including depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress.

Priced at just £95 including VAT, the limited-edition light blue bricks can be personalised with a name and/or message of up to 32 characters and are the ideal gift for the Evertonian in your life or a poignant way to remember someone special. All purchases will come with a commemorative giftbox* which will include a personalised certificate and an imitation brick keyring printed with your chosen message. Orders placed before Tuesday 1 December will receive their commemorative giftbox in time for Christmas.
