Everton Boss Delivers Team News Update

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed James Rodriguez, Mason Holgate and Seamus Coleman are fit and available for Everton’s Premier League clash with Manchester United at Goodison Park on Saturday (12.30pm GMT).

Defender Holgate has yet to feature for the Blues this season having suffered a toe injury during a pre-season friendly against Preston North End.

He has returned to full training and is in contention for Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

Colombian playmaker James is in line to play against United after missing last weekend’s game at Newcastle United.

Coleman is set to return having been out since sustaining a hamstring injury in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on 17 October. Meanwhile, Lucas Digne is available again after completing a one-match suspension.

Fabian Delph will miss the game, however, with a minor knock, while Jean-Philippe Gbamin is continuing his rehabilitation from an Achilles injury,

Richarlison serves the final game of a three-match suspension.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ancelotti said: "We have practically all the squad available apart from Richarlison, Gbamin and Fabian Delph, who had a little problem yesterday [Thursday]. He will be out for just a few days.

"All the others are available.

"James says he is 100 per cent. I have some doubts about this but physically he is okay.

"He has recovered from the little problem he had.

"If there was a chance of putting him in risk [of injury] by playing, we wouldn’t play him.

"He is going to play tomorrow and he is going to do his best.

"It is important not only to have James, but to have Coleman, Digne and Holgate back.

"It is not easy to select the back four who are going to start tomorrow, but it is important to have these players – they are experienced players, quality players.

"We can have a better squad, a better team [with them available].

"It is an important game against United and a difficult game."
