Fans' Forum Update

The Everton Fans' Forum is proud to announce they are now affiliate members of the Football Supporters' Association (FSA); the national, democratic, representative body for football supporters in England and Wales.

The Affiliation means to further strengthen Evertonians’ voices on a national level at a very important time.

After October’s full Everton Fans’ Forum meeting and following discussions with the FSA, the Club and other fan groups, Forum members have unanimously agreed to realign the recruitment process with the football season. This will require an amendment to the Forum’s current Terms of Reference. The tenure of all current members will be extended to three years and four months (from three years) to allow for this re-alignment; with future annual recruitment now commencing during the spring each year.

It was unanimously felt by the Forum that recruiting new members in the middle of the season led to disruption to ongoing projects and prevented members completing specific tasks before their tenure ended. Additionally, by welcoming new members during the 'close season' should enable a full understanding of their role prior to the season starting.

Forum Chair, Jazz Bal, said "Joining the FSA as ‘affiliate members’ is an important step in our development as a Forum. It will help raise our profile nationally and reinforces that we are an independent group acting on behalf of our global fanbase.

“The affiliation will also help build on our access to a wealth of knowledge and resources and links us into a national network of supporters that will only serve to improve our effectiveness to Evertonians. The short extension to current members' tenures is the first step towards achieving this and the recruitment process for five vacancies will start in April 2021."
