First Everton Women Affiliated Supporters' Club Want Your Wembley Messages

Everton Women now has its first official affiliated Supporters’ Club – and they are inviting fans to send in their good luck messages for the Blues ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup final.

Initially set up in 2007 to specifically show their support for Everton Women, the group is now officially affiliated with the Club, as well as The Football Supporters’ Association.

Affiliation ensures the group and its members - once it is deemed safe for supporters to return to stadiums - will have a chance to take part in exclusive Supporters’ Club events and enjoy the opportunity to take part in matchday experiences including mascot opportunities and pitchside photographs. They will also have the chance to win prizes and experiences through exclusive competitions.

The group is welcoming new members as they call for Evertonians to show their appreciation for Everton Women ahead of the FA Cup final by emailing video messages of support to fan.engagement@evertonfc.com by midday on Wednesday 28 October.

The positive messages will be shared with the Everton coaching and playing staff at a special FA Cup virtual Supporters' Club event, where members will give the players a virtual send off ahead of their clash with Manchester City.

EVERTON TRIO TAKE PART IN SUPPORTERS’ CLUB Q&A

Turner, Boye-Hlorkah and Finnigan receive good luck messages ahead of Wembley final.

Julie Makin, Chairperson of the Everton Women Official Supporters’ Club, said: “We are delighted to become an affiliated Everton Supporters’ Club and we welcome any fans to join our group. The growth of women’s football in this country has been fantastic to see and Everton is more than playing its part in how exciting and international the WSL has become.

“As part of our affiliation, we’re looking forward to working with the Club to help continue to build the fanbase for Everton Women and give our members opportunities that will bring them closer to the players on matchdays. Walton Hall Park is the only place that people living in Liverpool will be able to watch top-flight and elite women’s football in the heart of our city and, as soon as we are allowed back in, we know, with the talent we have on the pitch, we’ll see the growth in attendances at our new purpose-built home.

“In these uncertain times we’ve not been able to support the team in person but we want the players representing Everton at Wembley to know that we are all right behind them.

"Cup finals are special occasions and any team, and its supporters, should be proud of reaching one. We’re hoping as many Evertonians as possible - young, old and in between - will send a message to the players wishing them the best and encouraging them to bring the cup home.”

If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the Everton Women Official Supporters’ Club, please contact Chairperson Julie Makin on ewsc2007@gmail.com or follow them on Twitter @ELFCFans.

To send in your Everton Women FA Cup final good luck videos, record your message on your phone, tablet or computer device and send it to fan.engagement@evertonfc.com by midday on Wednesday 28 October.
