Everton boss Willie Kirk and Blues forward Claire Emslie have been nominated for October’s WSL manager and player of the month prizes.
The Toffees duo have been recognised for their roles in Everton’s superb start to the 2020/21 campaign.
Everton stretched their unbeaten run in the WSL to five matches in October, securing convincing victories over Aston Villa and West Ham United before contesting a 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion. The Blues sit second in the table, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.

Kirk’s team have also qualified for the 2020 FA Cup final and will take on Manchester City in the Wembley showpiece on Sunday 1 November.
Kirk is on a four-person shortlist for the manager award, with Arsenal’s Joe Montemurro, Birmingham City boss Carla Ward and Manchester United’s Casey Stoney also in contention.
Emslie, meanwhile, will battle it out with Birmingham defender Rachel Corsie, Arsenal duo Katie McCabe and Vivianne Miedema, and Manchester United attacker Alessia Russo for the Player of the Month prize.
Emslie kicked off October by hitting two fine goals in Everton’s stunning 6-0 success at Aston Villa.
The Scot found the back of the net with a precision curling effort to open her Toffees account, before skilfully rounding Villa stopper Lisa Weiss and slotting home to complete her brace.

Everton followed up that victory with a 3-1 home win against West Ham.
Emslie was again instrumental, notably assisting Nicoline Sorensen’s opener with a pinpoint crossfield pass.
And she delivered another enterprising attacking display as the Blues drew 2-2 with Brighton on Sunday.
