Christiansen And Kirk Nominated For September's WSL Awards

Izzy Christiansen and Willie Kirk have been rewarded for Everton's impressive start to the 2020/21 season by being nominated for September's Barclays WSL Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards respectively.

The Blues have won their opening two league matches - a 4-0 success at Bristol City and 1-0 victory over Spurs, when Christiansen headed home the game's winning goal at Walton Hall Park.

The 29-year-old, who rejoined Everton last December after starting her career at the Club, also earned a call-up to England's training camp last week, joining Blues teammate Sandy MacIver in the squad.

Christiansen is joined on the Player of the Month shortlist by Manchester United's Kirsty Hanson, Vivianne Miedema and Jill Roord of Arsenal, and Brighton's Megan Walsh.

Meanwhile, Kirk is in the running for the Manager of the Month prize with Arsenal's Joe Montemurro, Brighton boss Hope Powell and Manchester United's Casey Stoney.
