Ancelotti Names Everton Team For West Brom Meeting

Carlo Ancelotti sticks with the same 11 players who began Everton’s season on a positive note at Tottenham Hotspur last week for Saturday’s Premier League encounter with West Bromwich Albion.

There are Goodison Park debuts, then, for the trio of James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, the trio so impressive on their Everton first appearances in that 1-0 success against Spurs.

Seamus Coleman, Everton’s captain, starts his 250th Premier League match at right-back.

Jordan Pickford, who sat out Wednesday’s Carabao Cup tie with Salford City after playing every minute of Everton’s 2019/20 campaign, begins his 116th successive top-flight match for the Club.

Colombian James is poised to operate on the right of an Everton front three. Last week’s matchwinner Dominic Calvert-Lewin will play through the middle and Richarlison starts on the left.

Allan and Doucoure, signed from Napoli and Watford respectively, are joined in midfield by Andre Gomes.

Michael Keane, the only player to start both Everton’s games in the past week, is partnered in the centre of defence by Yerry Mina.

Lucas Digne continues at left-back.

Alex Iwobi returns to Everton’s matchday squad following a minor injury and is joined on the bench by fellow attackers Bernard and Moise Kean.

Manager Ancelotti’s complement of substitutes is completed by Gylfi Sigurdsson, Tom Davies, Jonjoe Kenny and goalkeeper Joao Virginia.
