Attacking midfielder Charlie Whitaker has signed a first professional contract with Everton, penning a three-year deal until the end of June 2023.
Whitaker, who celebrated his 17th birthday on Wednesday, has made impressive progress throughout his time at Everton Academy.
The Yorkshire-born teenager joined the Club aged 12, having previously been with Blackburn Rovers.
He is currently part of Paul Tait’s Everton Under-18s side and headed the winner as the young Blues kicked off their U18 Premier League (North) season with a 2-1 victory over former club Blackburn last Saturday.
Whitaker predominantly plays in an advanced central midfield position but is also comfortable operating from either flank or as a striker.
