Everton Under-18s fought back from conceding an early goal to open their Premier League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Playing their first competitive game for six months, Paul Tait's side fell behind inside three minutes and trailed until midfielder Sean McAllister struck a timely equaliser two minutes into first-half injury-time.

Substitute Charlie Whitaker (above) then headed home with 22 minutes remaining at USM Finch Farm to give the young Blues all three points.
