Everton are ready to seal the £22million signing of Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to Friday’s Daily Mail.

The paper says the Frenchman, 27, successfully completed a medical on Thursday and is set to sign a four-year contract in the next 24 hours, with deals for Colombia star James Rodriguez and Brazil midfielder Allan, both 29, also widely reported to be imminent.

The Daily Express is just one of the national newspapers to suggest Everton are “on the cusp of a triple swoop" for Rodriguez, Allan and Doucoure, while ESPN claims the Blues are waiting to confirm Doucoure’s signature before announcing deals for all three.

Inter Milan vice president Javier Zanetti has backed Rodriguez to be a great signing for Everton should he sign on at Goodison Park.

The Series A club have also been linked with Rodriguez and, while Zanetti denies they were ever keen on the Real Madrid star, he told  Caracol Radio he thinks the 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner “will do very well at Everton”.

Italy’s Gazzetta Dello Sport hints representatives of rumoured Toffees target Marcos Senesi are trying to seal the Feyenoord defender a move to Roma. Leeds United and Napoli are also thought to be interested in the 23-year-old Argentine, who only arrived in Europe from homeland club San Lorenzo last summer.

Meanwhile, Foot Mercato in France believes Everton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Lyon’s former Chelsea forward Bertrand Traore, 24. Fulham have reportedly had a bid rejected for the Burkino Faso international, who made 10 league appearances at Stamford Bridge as a youngster.

Finally, the Liverpool Echo says Croatia forward Nikola Vlasic could be set for a return to the Premier league with West Bromwich Albion after Baggies boss Slaven Bilic declared his interest in signing his compatriot.
