Everton are poised to complete the signings of Colombia international James Rodriguez and Brazil star Allan, according to Wednesday's national and local media.

The Daily Mail and Daily Mirror suggest confirmation of both players moving to Goodison Park is close, with the Daily Telegraph adding their belief that a three-year permanent deal with Rodriguez has now been agreed.

The newspaper reports are echoed by Sky Sports, who claim Rodriguez and Allan - both 29 and who played under Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid and Napoli respectively - are set to have medicals on Wednesday before signing on with the Blues.

Italy's CalcioNapoli24 report Allan held a farewell meal over the weekend, the midfielder reportedly telling his Napoli teammates: "What to say to the Neapolitans? Just one thing, thanks for everything!"

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Everton have "agreed personal terms" with Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure and remain in discussions with Watford over a fee for the 27-year-old.

The Daily Express also believes Everton are "eager" to add Doucoure once they seal deals for Allan and James Rodriguez, with Sky Sports understanding the two clubs continue to be locked in talks.

The Evening Standard, however, says the Blues face competition for Doucoure's signature from French side AS Monaco.

Everton announced a new contract for teenager Anthony Gordon on Tuesday - a deal covered in the Liverpool Echo and Daily Mail.

The youngster has agreed terms to the end of June 2025 and highlighted the influence assistant manager Duncan Ferguson has had on him since he broke into the First-Team last season.

“Duncan has been massive for me,” said Gordon.

“He is a person I can rely on to bounce things off.

“I couldn’t say enough about him and what he is doing for me."

Finally, the Echo point to an Instagram post in which defender Yerry Mina has thanked Everton's Director of Medical Danny Donachie for the help and support he has given him since he joined the Club from Barcelona in August 2018.

Alongside a photo of himself and Donachie at USM Finch Farm, Mina wrote: "Thank you @embodyism for accompanying me from the first day I arrived at @everton and for your great work and dedication. A top professional who is helping me a lot to understand the language and improve in each training #UpTheToffees"
