Record Season Ticket Renewal Numbers For Everton

Everton Season Ticket Members have renewed their seats for the 2020/21 campaign in record-breaking numbers.

The renewal window closed on Tuesday (July 28) with an unprecedented number of fans having renewed their Season Ticket for the new season that gets under way on September 12, despite the ongoing uncertainty caused by the global coronavirus pandemic.

The remarkable show of support has seen seasonal renewals surpass 30,500 for the first time in the Club’s history, equating to a renewal rate of 98%.

The retention figures reflect the dedication of Evertonians and the high demand to watch Carlo Ancelotti’s Blues in action at Goodison Park next season - when guidelines deem it safe to do so.

It is the fifth consecutive year in which renewals have increased - with renewal percentages rising from 84% for 2015/16 to 96.5% last year and now 98%.

There has also been a significant rise in fans taking up the Direct Debit options open to them, with a 9% year-on-year increase now meaning more than 39% of Season Tickets are paid for through monthly payments.

Richard Kenyon, Everton’s Director of Marketing, Communications and Community, said: “The renewal of nearly every Season Ticket for 2020/21 reflects the commitment and passion of Evertonians to their club.

“In what can only be described as difficult and uncertain times, it is an incredible show of loyalty – and, as always, we are very grateful to every single Season Ticket Member for their tremendous, ongoing support.”

Should any Premier League fixtures in the 2020/21 campaign be impacted by restrictions for fan attendance, Season Ticket Members affected will receive a pro-rata refund. A full list of FAQs related to 2020/21 Season Tickets, visit evertonfc.com/onwards/faq

Everton has also confirmed that, following the completion of the renewal period, Season Tickets will not be made available to fans on the Waiting List at this stage due to the ongoing restrictions on supporters attending matches.

Under normal circumstances, Evertonians at the top of Tier 1 of the Waiting List would be contacted following the close of the Season Ticket renewal window and given the chance to purchase seats.

However, in light of the current uncertainty regarding the return of fans to stadiums and the potential restrictions on capacity, the process of releasing available Season Tickets to those on the Waiting List has been temporarily put on hold.

Supporters on the Waiting List will retain their place in the queue and will be contacted with further information in due course.

Any 2020/21 Season Ticket Members who have applied for a seat transfer as part of their renewal will be contacted by the Club in due course with further information.
