Everton Midfielder Dowell Makes Norwich Move

Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell has completed a transfer to Norwich City for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old joined the Club’s Academy aged seven and made five first-team appearances after a senior debut as a substitute in the Europa League clash with FC Krasnodar in December 2014.

Dowell was a key member of Everton Under-23s’ Premier League 2 title-winning squad in 2017 and in the same year was part of the England side that triumphed in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

During his time at Everton, Dowell enjoyed productive loan spells with Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Derby County and, most recently, Wigan Athletic, scoring five goals in 12 appearances for the Latics during the second half of the 2019/20 season.

He joins a Norwich City squad aiming to mount a Championship promotion challenge following relegation from the Premier League at the end of 2019/20.

Everton Football Club would like to thank Kieran for his service during his time with the Club and wishes him every success with his new team.
