Ancelotti Makes Two Changes For Southampton Visit

Yerry Mina starts for Everton and there is a return to the team for Anthony Gordon, as Carlo Ancelotti makes two changes for Thursday’s meeting with Southampton

Colombian Mina was a first-half replacement for the stricken Mason Holgate at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday and retains his place alongside fellow centre-half Michael Keane.

Gordon plays from the beginning for the third Goodison Park game in succession.

The teenager is set to start on the left, with Alex Iwobi operating from the opposite flank and that pair sandwiching central midfield duo Andre Gomes and Tom Davies.

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s strike partnership has yielded 13 goals from as many games under Ancelotti and they continue in attack this evening.

Captain Seamus Coleman is at right-back and Lucas Digne starts on the left of defence.

Jordan Pickford in goal is closing on his third ever-present Premier League campaign with Everton, this his 110th outing on the spin.

Theo Walcott is fit enough for a place on the bench after overcoming an abdominal problem and he is joined among Everton's substitutes by attacking counterparts Bernard and Moise Kean.

Manager Ancelotti can also call on Gylfi Sigurdsson, Beni Baningime, Leighton Baines, Djibril Sidibe, Jarrad Branthwaite and goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg.
