Everton Make Two Changes For Leicester Test

Anthony Gordon and Gylfi Sigurdsson are restored to Everton’s starting line-up, as Carlo Ancleotti makes two changes for this evening’s clash with Leicester City.

There is a place on the bench for Yerry Mina following the Colombian’s recovery from a muscle injury.

Icelander Sigurdsson last began a game when Everton went to Chelsea on 8 March immediately before football’s shutdown.

For Gordon it is a second top-flight start following his full senior debut in last month’s Merseyside derby.

Sigurdsson is set to partner Andre Gomes in the centre of midfield, with Alex Iwobi on the left and Gordon playing from the opposite wing.

Everton’s back-four, then, remains unchanged for a third straight game; Michael Keane and Mason Holgate in the middle sandwiched by left-back Lucas Digne and captain and right-back Seamus Coleman.

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin continue their strike partnership and Jordan Pickford starts a 108th successive Everton Premier League game in goal.

Defender Mina is joined among Everton’s substitutes by Tom Davies, Moise Kean, Leighton Baines and Brazilian forward Bernard.

Manager Ancelotti’s replacement options are completed by Beni Baningime, Jarrad Branthwaite and the goalkeeping duo of Maarten Stekelenburg and Joao Virginia.
