The Times reports Everton’s return to Premier League action against Liverpool has been “pencilled in” for a 7pm kick-off on Sunday June 21.

The paper claims Premier League clubs were given a list of provisional kick-off times for the first three rounds of matches on Thursday.

The Times adds the Merseyside derby showdown will be screened free to air on Sky channel Pick.

The Liverpool Echo suggests Everton are among a number of clubs tracking the progress of 18-year-old New Zealand youth international Matthew Garbett.

The attacker, who plays in Sweden for Falkenbergs, is reportedly “one of the most sought-after teenagers in Europe”.

The Glasgow Evening Times, meanwhile, reckons Everton striker Fraser Hornby is set to secure a £1.8million move to French side Stade de Reims.

The Scotland Under-21 international has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Belgian side KV Kortrijk

Back to the Echo, and the paper reports Everton will offer funding towards two scholarships at Liverpool Hope University based around the history of the Club.

The Echo claims the two recipients “will write a 30,000-word dissertation with segments helping craft chapters of a new Everton history book”.
