A former Premier League and England goalkeeper believes Carlo Ancelotti's "pulling power" can help Everton land rumoured target James Rodriguez, according to Tuesday's Daily Star.

Ex-Leeds United, Tottenham Hotspur and Blackburn Rovers stopper Paul Robinson, who racked up 41 appearances for his country, says players will want to come to Goodison Park to work under the Blues' Italian boss.

"Ancelotti can get the best out of any player,” Robinson first told Football Insider.

"He is the pull for Everton. It is a completely different Everton going into the transfer market with Ancelotti at the helm.

"All of a sudden you are putting names like Rodriguez in the same sentence as Everton. Before, you would not have done. He is a realistic target because of the manager."

In the Liverpool Echo, former Everton forward Henry Onyekuru discusses the dispute with former loan club Anderlecht which he believes denied him the opportunity to be a success at Goodison Park.

Onyekuru, now playing at Galatasaray on loan from AS Monaco, was sent to Anderlecht for the 2017/18 campaign in a bid to land a World Cup place with Nigeria that could have helped him secure a work permit to play in the Premier League.

However, in an interview that first appeared on The Athletic, Onyekuru explains how he believes Anderlecht's disagreement with him returning to Everton after suffering a serious injury midway through the season cost him his place in the Belgian side's starting XI and ultimately the chance to represent his nation in Russia that summer.

Finally, Italian website Il Sussidiario claims Everton are monitoring Roma's 22-year-old Turkey international winger Cengiz Ünder.
