Everton are one of four clubs to have made a bid for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes, according to Sky Sports.

Two Italian sides and an unnamed English club are also believed to have submitted offers for the 22-year-old Brazilian, with Sky believing a deal could be finalised “in the next 10 days, ready for next season.”

The Independent, meanwhile, speculates Magalhaes has already passed “offsite medical checks” ahead of a potential €30m move to Goodison Park.

Elsewhere, Everton defender Mason Holgate tells the Daily Mail how he has temporarily moved back in with his parents because of the Covid-19 lockdown and explains how he is dealing with life away from the Club’s USM Finch Farm training ground.

Holgate is doing cardiovascular sessions each morning and gym work in the afternoon, and says: “We will be ready to go again as soon as we get the nod, whenever that may be.”

He adds: “The main thing is just keeping out of my mum's way so she doesn't shout! The biggest concern I have about isolation is her going mad at me! It is like being a teenager again!”

Finally, Spanish publication AS hints Everton could be set to battle Serie A sides Napoli and Inter Milan for Atletico Madrid's out-of-favour full-back Santiago Arias, 28.
