Dominic Calvert-Lewin says being given the “freedom to go and play” by manager Carlo Ancelotti is responsible for his consistent scoring run.
Striker Calvert-Lewin netted Everton’s third goal to wrap up a valuable victory against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday.
His 88th-minute effort, which added to earlier strikes from Bernard and Richarlison either side of a Christian Benteke goal for the visitors, was Calvert-Lewin’s sixth in eight games under manager Ancelotti.
“He has given me the confidence and freedom to go and play and do what I am good at,” said Calvert-Lewin.
“He has been good with me… and I am just enjoying my football.”
