Match Centre: Everton v Crystal Palace

TEAM NEWS

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti reported a relatively clean bill of health ahead of this weekend's fixture.

Andre Gomes continues to make steady progress in his rehabilitation from a serious leg injury but Palace's visit will come too soon for the Portuguese, who could feature in a training ground friendly next week.

Jean-Philippe Gbamin is working individually following surgery on his troublesome quadriceps muscle and could return before the season is finished. Fabian Delph, meanwhile, serves a one-match ban after the midfielder was dismissed following two bookings at Watford last week.

Defender Martin Kelly will be missing for the away team after he picked up a calf strain in training. Palace are also without longer-term injured pair Mamadou Sakho and Jeffrey Schlupp. Striker Cenk Tosun, on loan at Selhurst Park from Everton, is ineligible to face his former club.

KEY STATS AND MILESTONES

Everton are unbeaten in their past 10 meetings with Crystal Palace, winning four and drawing six of those matches.

If Gylfi Sigurdsson plays, he will bring up a century of appearances for Everton in all competitions.

Bernard, meanwhile, could make his 50th Premier League appearance for Everton. He would become the 98th Toffees player to reach that milestone.

The game is being televised by BT Sport and will be the 150th Everton home Premier League game to be broadcast live in the UK. The first was the Blues’ 2-1 home victory against Liverpool in December 1992.

ONE TO WATCH: Jordan Ayew

A skilful dribbler and finisher, Ghana international Ayew has provided Palace’s main goal threat this season.

He has struck six times in the top-flight, while his energy and work-rate has also consistently impressed.

The striker, who joined Palace from Swansea City last season, has scored 22 Premier League goals in total – 21 of which have come in the second half of matches.
