WATCH: Cahill Reveals What He Told New Signing About Everton

Tim Cahill has revealed why new Everton Women signing Hayley Raso’s “great mentality” is perfectly suited to the Club as he backed his compatriot to be a success with the Blues.

Cahill also explained his excitement about having “another Australian at the Club I love” and detailed the exciting qualities the electric forward will offer Willie Kirk’s team.

Raso has joined the Toffees from Brisbane Roar and will be available for selection from mid-February after competing for Australia in Olympic qualifying matches in China.

“Hayley is very feisty, she is a great footballer and she has a great mentality,” says Cahill.

“She suits Everton so much – she is a workhorse and takes pride in the way she plays. She is engrossed in her football.

“She wants the next challenge in her career. She wants to play at the highest level and she’s a fighter. She is always trying to break barriers and better herself.

“I think she will be a success here. She gives everything on the pitch, she covers every blade of grass and creates and scores goals.

“Her teammates will take to her quickly because of her attitude and I think Everton fans will fall in love with her, just like the Australian fans have.”

*Everton’s ongoing commitment to allowing Season Ticket, Lounge and Official Members free access to women’s games will continue for the fixture, although all Members will be required to claim a ticket and select their seat in advance.

Tickets for non-Members will be priced at £6 for adults and £3 for over-65s and juniors.
