Wednesday's publications feature a variety of lines which emerged from Everton's General Meeting, hosted at Liverpool Philharmonic on Tuesday.

The Daily Mail leads on the announcement of USM's £30m option for naming rights on the Club's new stadium.

Chief Executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale is quoted in the same paper. Professor Barrett-Baxendale told shareholders the Club's ambition to "challenge at the very top of domestic and European competition... has not changed".

She also cited majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri's "vital and impactful" investment as critical to Everton fulfilling its long-term objectives.

Sky Sports reports on Bill Kenwright crediting Duncan Ferguson for an "unbelievable job" as caretaker manager last month. "You'll never find a greater servant than his man," said Everton's Chairman.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti also spoke at the General Meeting. The Italian's comment about "finding a family" at Everton features in the Liverpool Echo.

The paper also includes Ancelotti referencing the integral role of supporters in Everton's bid for success. "This is a club that has big ambitions, the passion of the supporters has to be strong," said the former Real Madrid boss. "In this sense I think the connection the supporters have to have with the team is really important."

Additionally, Marcel Brands is featured in the Echo after Everton's Director of Football addressed shareholders. Dutchman Brands explained the Club's trading in summer 2019 and hinted at a potential move for a right-winger.

The former PSV Eindhoven technical director also revealed he expects Jonjoe Kenny to return from a season-long loan at Schalke to compete for a starting spot with Everton.

Back in the Mail, however, it is claimed the Bundesliga side would like to convert right-back Kenny's deal into a permanent arrangement at the end of this campaign.

There is further transfer speculation elsewhere, as the winter trading window approaches its halfway mark.

Sky Italia reports mooted Everton target Daniele Rugani will not be allowed to leave Juventus following an injury to fellow centre-half Merih Demiral.

Corriere dello Sport says the Blues have cemented their interest in Inter Milan's Matias Vecino by submitting a "formal bid" for the Uruguay international midfielder.

The Athletic, meanwhile, reckons German champions Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Everton's teenage forward Anthony Gordon.
