Everton Boss Provides Injury Update Ahead Of Derby

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Morgan Schneiderlin has fully recovered from his calf injury and is available for Sunday’s FA Cup clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

The French midfielder has been unable to feature for Everton since the Blues’ 3-1 victory over Chelsea on 7 December.

Bernard’s fitness will be determined ahead of the match after the Brazilian sustained an injury during the pre-match warm-up at Manchester City on New Year’s Day.

The manager also revealed Fabian Delph has suffered a knock to his knee but “looks good” after a scan. His fitness will also be assessed before Sunday's game.

“On Bernard, we will check today [Friday] in training," said Ancelotti, who was speaking at his pre-match press conference at USM Finch Farm.

“Schneiderlin has trained with us and he is available to play.

"We had a problem with Fabian Delph, he had a knock on his knee. He had a scan yesterday [Thursday], it seems good but we will see.

"The other players are okay. They are a little bit tired but that is normal. We have time, we have two days [before the Liverpool match] so we can recover well and prepare well for the match.”
