Carlo Ancelotti features in Monday’s Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail, with the Italian revealing in-form striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a player he admired before being appointed Everton manager.

Calvert-Lewin has struck three goals in Ancelotti’s two games in charge of the Blues as Everton have beaten Burnley and Newcastle United.

“[At previous club Napoli] he was a player we followed as a young striker,” said Ancelotti.

“But there was no possibility [to buy him]. He excites me as a player.”

The Telegraph also takes an in-depth look at Calvert-Lewin’s performance, highlighting the forward’s wide range of attributes.

“It was Calvert-Lewin’s all-round game that caught the eye,” the paper reports. “Strong and athletic, he covered the ground at speed, but also had the skill and muscularity to hold up the ball under pressure.”

In the Irish Examiner, Everton Club captain Seamus Coleman underlines the Everton squad's excitement over Ancelotti’s arrival.

“We’ve all been given a great opportunity to grow and to move forward by learning from the best, someone who has done it all and who has a real presence about him,” he said.

The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, speculates Everton could be interested in signing midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international is currently on loan at Turkish side Galatasaray and is rumoured to have been a transfer target for Everton boss Ancelotti during his time at Napoli.
